If we change the format of our statements to eliminate duplicate information such as we list the EFTs together under one heading but also in date order with all other transactions. Would this be an instance where we would have to inform our customers 30 days prior to the change? I am think not, since this should not be adverse to them and actually easier to read.

Reg DD requires advance notice of a change in terms only when that term was required to be disclosed when the account was opened. There are no required disclosures regarding the format of a statement.

Your need for advance explanation or discussion is driven only by practicality... Some will love it. Some will hate it.

Actually, based on the percentage of customers who actually open their statements and look at them, many won't notice a thing.

Sad, but true.
