Pet Semetary, Misery, etc. The Stand is my all-time favorite book and I've read it several times. Loved The Mist, but didn't like the ending of the movie.

I don't know if I can say The Stand is my all-time favorite, but it definitely ranks high on my list; and is certainly on the top of my list of favorite Stephen King books.

Prince of Risk by Christopher Reich. It's a financial thriller/mystery. I'm about 1/3 through it and it's really starting to pick up a faster pace.

Our book club recently finished The Man called Ove. A real treat. There were passages that made me laugh out loud. I haven't enjoyed such a good book in a long time.

We're reading Orphan Train. I thought it would be a real downer but there is enough of a sub story to enjoy it. Plus, it provides a glimpse of a period of our history that isn't addressed very much.

FYI, There's an Orphan Train Museum in Concordia, Kansas. I haven't been there but I've heard it's really good if you're ever in that quarter of the prairie.

Re-reading Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea and Capote's In Cold Blood. My background in English Lit means I'm always a sucker for the classics. With our weather cooling off (finally), it's become perfect "tea and a book" time!

I saw an article about that online somewhere; it's what prompted me to pull the book off the shelf actually. smile

Let me know what you think. I've been trying to decide whether to buy it now or wait 6 months to a year until the price drops a bit. Hardcover books are so expensive these days.

TMatt - I buy them on my Kindle so it's a little cheaper; but I'll let you know when I'm done and what I think. I really like Baldacci's characters - John Puller, Will Robie, Amos Decker.

Loved Needful Things until the end. Hated the ending.

A good read for you music fans is Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana. Very good look at the band from off stage.

I recently finished A Man Called Ove. It was one of the best I have read in awhile.
