New pizza place opened up here this week called Blaze Pizza. Apparently you go in and have it created to suit your tastes and they bake it in 5 minutes (or so it says). Yesterday between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. they gave away free pizzas. On my way home yesterday I drove by and the line was out the door, across the front of the building, and halfway down the side. I'd bet there were 50-65 people in that line. Wow!

Skittles, we have a similar place here, called Azzip (see what they did there?!). Started by a couple of college buddies. It took off like wildfire, and they've since opened two additional locations in town, plus expanded to the University of Illinois campus.

Skittles, Blaze is worth stopping at - once the line goes down. The pizzas are good and I like being able to build my own.

Dang it, now I want pizza for supper.

I have new glasses and they are progressive lenses. I can see better but I feel like a "bobblehead" all day trying to find the
sweet spot of clear sight.

It will take you a few days to adjust, Peach. Then they will be worth it. When I had to 'upgrade' mine last year it took me another few days to adjust even after wearing progressives for 3 years.

thanks! This is truly weird, especially the mid range not having the side vision as much as upper lower. Who knew? Come.....on.....brain......

If you think about it too much it will never happen. Like watching a pot when you want it to boil.

I have been having a terrible time adjusting to progressive lenses, I can only wear them for a few hours and then I have to switch back to the readers. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

TJ prefers the old school hard lined tri-focals so don't let him give you carp.

I do not have trifocals. I do not have bifocals. I have special glasses that let me see far away out of the top and close up out of the bottom with a small line in between. I call them my special glasses and that's all that needs to be said. :^p

I've heard some horror stories about progressives (lack of peripheral vision, dizziness, headaches) none of which have made me want to try them.

out of the frying pan...
My mother hated her Progressives so much that she ended up having corrective surgery (which she was terrified of) instead.

If you're having trouble with your progressive lenses when working on a computer, you might want to check out the special computer progressives. They have a larger mid-region for reading your monitor and then slightly more narrower top and bottom. I can quickly switch from monitor to file and back again with no issues. They can be a bit pricier but I think they're worth it. My headaches have pretty much disappeared.

The ones I bought which were expensive, have a larger channel to look through according to the Dr. but it does not seem to help.

That's what I have. They are an improvement over the prior pair, but having hour-shaped glass correction is challenging.

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
I love my progressives! I too have the larger middle section and it works just fine. I've had no issued with peripheral vision loss or any of the other issues. My mom told me to wear them all the time - just to point my nose in the direction I needed to go and look there until I became adjusted to them. I did and it worked.
