We are under an ice storm warning from 9 AM Friday to noon Saturday. We have been told to expect from 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch of ice. It looks like we should be on the low side, but folks over in Missouri are going to get one of those storms that brings down power lines and trees. The fact that they've already upgraded it from a watch to a warning is a little scary. My Mustang doesn't like slippery roads.

since you are getting that much Ice may I suggest instead of purchasing the years supply of milk butter eggs, you simply purchase the requisite Jack Daniels and coke (coke zero sub.)

They also say the European model predicts this, but the Australian model predicts that. Don't give me options on how much snow we will get. You are the meteorologist, pick one for me and give me your best guess. The weather hype also is ridiculous. Just to get ratings-they are wrong on most of their hyped up predictions. No wonder many people don't believe in global warming. They can't get the weather right for two days from now. How am I going to believe what they say is going to happen two decades from now?

The ice storm has gotten the best of us. We're closing at noon. Limited number of branches opening tomorrow, weather permitting. The St. Louis Metro area is going to hunker down for a couple days.

False alarm. As we left work at noon Friday, ice was forming on the cars, but not the streets. Then the temperature went up a hair, and we never had any ice on the roads all weekend. While Missouri and Kansas had it rough, we on the east side of the Mississippi had just rain. I feel bad for all the restaurants and retailers that closed Friday in anticipation of ice.
