For about 2 months, I have occasionally been getting a sales call from a company (that luckily has gone to voice mail each time) and her message is something like "I am inviting you to have the opportunity to return my call to discuss...." Each time I think.. well, aren't you a little full of yourself.
As if you didn't know, I have not taken her up on the offer...

Heinz starts petition to make Monday after Super Bowl a holiday I heard on the radio this morning that the day after the Super Bowl has the lowest attendance of any work day of the year. I'd try to question it based on my anecdotal evidence, but I haven't worked the day after the Super Bowl in quite a few years...

That statistic is highly questionable. I would venture to guess that, hands down, the lowest attended work day of the year is the day after Thanksgiving. Remember, that day is not a holiday.

I can't speak for other businesses, but here, at least, we have a fairly small number of employees that take off the day after Thanksgiving. But, I'd also be comfortable saying the number that misses after Turkey Day is far larger than the day after the Super Bowl. It can be tough dragging in after the SB, but I've never missed....never missed Black Friday either. I'd rather work a double-shift than get out in that craziness.

We aree closed the day after Thanksgiving. I take refuge in my home. No way would I venture out into Black Friday.
