Just from the link, this is a city manager and he/she makes $204,000 per year? Florida's Governor only makes $130,000. Something wrong with that IMO.

Why is firing someone from their job the knee jerk reaction to anything anyone does wrong nowadays?

1) It satisfies the court of public opinion's bloodlust.

2) Some people like for bad things to happen to others who are more financially successful.

3) Some people can't help but put the "jerk" in knee-jerk reactions.

I often see a lot of wildlife in the morning on my 20 mile trip down the Natchez Trace on my way to work. This morning I saw over 2 dozen turkeys (mostly babies) and a dozen deer. Don't like the 50 mile drive to work - but love seeing the wildlife.

I normally only see a cat and a dog on my 15 second commute to work. One or both are usually laying on the stairs down to my office trying to trip me.

Looking at a high temperature of 105-107 later this week and through the weekend. "Feels like" temps i'm sure will be in the 110's. Good times.

I have a 16 mile commute and I get to see goats, cows, turkeys, horse, chickens, deer, and skunks. Then on the walking path at work we have to navigate the hissing geese and the rattle snakes. With these warm (over 100) days the snakes hide (yeah!).

Yes. Not looking forward to this.
