Getting a property tax ag exemption is not really pertinent to the question. Are they planning to farm the bare ground or are they just buying additional property for personal use?

I need clarification from the loan officer to determine use of the land. Just because they plan to claim an ag exemption doesn't necessarily mean they will use it for ag purposes. They might put a cow or a horse on it in order to get the exemption.
