The New Orleans Saint's playoff hopes - age unavailable. Death by inconsistent offense, swiss cheese defense, and ineffective coaching

Stuart Margolin - Emmy-winning actor. Best known to me as Angel on The Rockford Files (as my husband loves this show and we have been watching the series every night for the past couple of months!)

oh wow, had not heard about that. growing up i was a cowboys fan (i have since realized that was pointless but that is another story) so Franco Harris was always a nemesis to the Cowboys in the 70s...

The Steelers-Raiders game on Saturday was to be a big celebration, given that I believe Friday is the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. The Steelers planned to retire Harris' number this weekend. This loss will give these actions a very different feel.

Well, labeling Jeff Beck as a Guitarist is a little bit of an understatement. He was probably one of the best of all times.

He was sure a young looking 78 compared to some other musicians from that era.

While there are numerous lists without him, this one makes the most sense to me.

Hard to agree with any list of "greatest guitarists" that excludes Jimmie Vaughan.

Those lists are always crazy and lots of apples/oranges comparisons (how do you compare The Edge, John McLaughlin, and Joni Mitchell with each other??). With that said, it's hard to understand how Alex Lifeson winds up at 98 on this list, behind Bruce Springsteen, Joni Mitchell, and a whole 72 places behind Brian May (not to take anything away from Brian May, but is he really that much better than Alex?). And Steve Howe doesn't make the list at all?

I agree. Often, the "best" lists are really "most influential" or "most popular."
