I miss the old cooler and the old posters! yes, don't we all. the bars on fridays. the holiday themed posts. the ornament exchange. heck, we even had a couple of BOLers meet and get married, how crazy is that! now anything more than a song title thread is controversial...

While i agree that people are too easily offended these days, part of the problem is that so many people today can't voice an opinion without being obnoxious about it, or by coming right out of the box demeaning anyone who might dare to disagree.

The era of that it was OK to have opposing opinions is definitely over. It is now the "My way, or the Highway" mentality that leaves no room for calm and logical discussions, which OMG, might actually lead to some sort of possible compromise. Now, if you compromise, you are weak.

You missed the cheesy potatoes, Happy. Still not retiring. Remote work makes it easier and safer to continue and the money helps fund our travels. I won't keep it up forever but for now....

I just came across this post and saw that Skittles retired. I knew Pale retired. I see Randy said he was retiring in 18 to 24 months. Either he forgot to retire or isn't very good with numbers. I was the original Zaibatsu way, way, way back then, but I ditched my account at one time and I don't think the name is now available. When am I retiring? Not too many years from now.
