Apparently he was being transferred from one prison to another earlier today, and was later found dead. Some news outlets are reporting he was killed.

Beaten to death with a padlock in a sock to the point where he was unrecognizable, according to later news sources, some of which said it also appeared that there was an attempt to cut out his tongue -- an organized crime signature in deaths of "snitches."
