Help settle a debate here at our institution.
Our bank name is the name of our city Federal Savings and Loan Association and our tag line is Checking Home Loan Savings
On our ads we have our logo which is our bank name with that tag line below the logo.
The debate that has started internally is whether or not all ads need to include the Equal Housing logo as our tag line says Home Loan.
For example, an ad is general in nature "come bank with us" logo, tag line. Marketing believes Equal Housing is required as we have the word Loan in our bank name and the tag line.
I am the opposite. Yes Loan is in our name but the ad is not for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, improving, or repairing, or maintaining a dwelling or any loan by a dwelling.
Here is the debate we need settled. Always include Equal Housing ON EVERYTHING due to our name/log or only when the ad meets the definition of an ad under 338.3
