Are there any fair lending issues with using home ownership as a compensating factor to make an approval on an unsecured loan?

On what basis is homeownership a compensating factor?

Also, in 2019, the homeownership rate among white non-Hispanic Americans was 73.3%, compared to 42.1% among Black Americans and 47.5% among Hispanic or Latino Americans, 50.8% among American Indians or Alaska Natives, and 57.7% among Asian or Pacific Islander Americans.

It will increase the effectiveness of a judgement if the unsecured loan goes bad but your point is my concern.

Personally, I would not be picking a compensating factor that has such a blatant disparate impact without some firm hard numbers as to how much such a compensating factor is going to decrease your losses.
