My bank is working on a project to save our commercial loan files electronically as a physical space saver. I'm wondering, what documents do we need to physically keep for retention purposes, versus anything else that can be shredded? I'm coming up with blanks. Thanks!

You really need to sit down with your legal counsel to figure that out.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
my rule of thumb would be if it is saved in the hard file, it is saved in the electronic file. otherwise, randy's answer is spot on if you are looking to minimize what you are scanning and storing.
