I'd like to know if a CD can be garnished in Alabama. I've been unable to find a resource to provide this answer.
Thank you!
Pam

Welcome to BOL!

I'm in Kentucky - so have no real understanding of Alabama banking law, but a quick Google search of "can a certificate of deposit be garnished in alabama" returned several results. The top answer is "Yes, in Alabama, a certificate of deposit (CD) can be garnished after a judgment unless the funds within the CD are considered exempt, such as Social Security benefits or other protected income."
