Update on my mother - she was able to go home yesterday. It was exhausting for her (there are 15 steps to get into the house), but she's happy to be there. I told my father to call me several times a day since I don't want to call and disturb her. My niece (an RN) is flying in tomorrow to stay here for about a week and help her.
So far so good and thanks for everyone's prayers. They mean so much.
Good luck momofnataliebear. I know you're going to get the best news.

Since she is healthy and stable, they would like to do it fairly soon. It is a matter of setting up scheduling with 2 surgeons, 2 anesthesiologists, 2 operating rooms (since they do our surgeries at 2 affiliate hospitals).

The bear goes to Children's Memorial (it's just for little bears). So their affiliate hospital is Northwestern Memorial (for the big bears  ).
