3 months!!! (OK, so the 3 month transplant anniversary was yesterday. I got all sappy about it, and forgot to mention it here.)

I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind words and prayers throughout our transplant journey. I had no idea on 10/28/04 when I started this thread that it would morph into such wonderful friendships. 10/28/04 – Natalie was septic. Her liver infection had spread into her blood stream, and we were feeling pretty hopeless. I was sitting in the computer lab at the hospital, just to get a break. My parents and Jason were taking care of Natalie and they told me to take some time-out. So here I was sitting, feeling completely alone. And who do I reach out to? My friends at BOL.

Oh, my how far we’ve come. *Sniff* I am getting all sappy again. Thanks for everything.

We’re not out of the woods yet, but the path is getting to be an easier traveled one.

Becca, keep on going! We are all pulling for you and your family.

Becca, you and Natalie have shown us what true courage in real life is all about and provided us with a HUGE visable reminder of the power of prayer.

Momma Bear, we are all so blessed to have been part of this journey. I know I am a better parent because of it.

I know that I for one have been blessed in watching Him answer the prayers of a loving mother and her loving child.

3 months - a wonderful celebration. I echo what everyone else has said, I am so glad you have been willing to open up to us. You have reminded me of what is really important and to enjoy my "boys" (ok, ok, grown sons) whenever I can. I was in the middle of posting a response to this when the power went out at the bank and I'm in the basement. Sure got dark and the post went Poof!!! You and your family continue to be in my thoughts with warm hugs coming your way!!!

Just remember as you travel through the woods to look at all the beautiful flowers, trees, animals (including bears) and the sun shining through the tree tops. It makes the trip so much easier.

We are being admitted.

Natalie ran a fever of 103 yesterday, and we're still hoping that it's related to her cold. But now her hemoglobin is down to 6 - they'd like it to be near 10. So she needs another blood transfusion. At this point no one is sure why her hemoglobin is so low. They just tested her stools and there does not appear to be any blood in them. So after the transfusion, she'll probably also need an ultrasound.

More prayers coming your way, you are one of the strongest people, I know because god gives us nothing we can't handle and he has given you a lot. That must be why he gave little bear to you and not to someone else, he knew you would be the one to help her through all of these trials. I am praying for both her and your family.

Hang in there Mom...she has shown us how strong she is and I am sure she will be OK. Be strong! We will be thinking of you and your precious little one...

Hang in there. We will say more prayers for little Natalie!

Hang tough guys, we are all praying. I have convinced 2 co-workers to become organ donors by sharing your story. With your last post, we all need to be blood donors also. At the Oklahoma blood institute, you can either donate blood for anyone, donate it to be held for you, or donate for another specific person. I'm B negative, so if you need blood, I can call and see about state to state transfers.
