Happy belated birthday to Nataliebear! I loved the video on Facebook. You have been through so much, and survived!! They say God only gives you what he thinks you can handle, he must think you are a real tough one! I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers for continued good health.

The 10 year anniversary of the liver transplant is coming up and I just wanted to share, if you can, go to my Facebook page, or instagram and look at the picture I just posted.

In honor of her 10th Transplant anniversary (her liver’s 10th rebirthday), Natalie requested toys!! But these toys are not for herself. No, we are then taking the toys to the children at Lurie Children’s Memorial Hospital (her transplant hospital) and also to the children at the Ronald McDonald house (Natalie’s home away from home).

The kids at her school rose to the challenge. There are boxes and boxes and boxes overflowing with toys!!! Each one of those toys was brought in by the hands of a child to be given to a sick child. And then to top it off, her swim team coach ALSO sent out a flyer to the area swim teams coming to our conference meet this weekend. Seriously, the generosity of those in our community has rendered me speechless and overcome with emotion.

ok...I'm all teary eyed at my desk. Half of the tears are tears of joy for our Natalie celebrating such a milestone. The other half are for the people whose lives you and she have touched in a manner that brings out the best in so many of them. Bask in His Glory.

I saw the picture on FB this morning and was amazed at the response Natalie got to the drive. What a blessing you all have been through this journey and yes - it is hard to believe it has been ten years! You certainly have reason to be proud of your "little" girl - she has a big heart!

She is such a remarkable young lady, it appears she takes after her mother!

I am verklempt! I just can't beleive that it has been 10 years now. Her generosity and those around her just overwhelm the emotions.
