<hikes up his pantlegs>

It's beginning to get a little deep in here.

For the record, Ang, you still have to run the bases. No softball for me.....for now. I'm hoping to have rehabbed it by Spring so I can at least play for my church team (2 time State Champs, by the way!!).

I'm meeting girlfriends for supper at Ocean Zen...it's a strange mixture of oriental. Very good. Last time I had ginger chicken medallions with steamed veggies over rice.

If you have swordfish, marinara sauce, capers, olives and anchovies, the swordfish actually only takes about 10 minutes to put together and cook.

Who actually keeps that stuff? Honestly, I think it sounds icky, but I don't like anchovies, capers, olives, or swordfish...

Hey, I may be a barbarian, but I *do* keep a pretty well-stocked pantry. (sometimes even a barbarian wants something more than fire-roasted beast ) (And geez, the marinara sauce was a short cut in case you didn't have plum tomatoes, parsley, bay leaves, oregano,.... OK, I'll stop now and back slowly out of the thread )

AML...please stay...and give us some more recommendations. Just keep in mind I'm a meat and potatoes kinda girl! I think this thread took a turn down the "picky eaters" street for a while...I was one of them.

Well, I did make a braised veal breast this weekend. I had cauliflower with cheese sauce instead of potatoes, though. (Braised veal isn't what I'd call 'quick', to be completely fair.)

I could do the veal...even though its not one of my favorites. I also prefer my cauliflower raw...and am pretty picky about cheeses.

What other specialities do you have?

I make a great mustard crusted pork tenderloin that goes great with rice pilaf (or wild rice) and steamed green beans or asparagus.

I'm trying to find a recipe for pecan crusted chicken breast. I had it at a restaurant at the lake a while back and it was yummy.
