Okay so for all of my single friends out there, I have a question. It's mostly for the single people out there with no kids. What have your experiences been with dating people with kids? I have an interest but he has 2 kids, and I've never dated anyone with kids. Sorry Fraud this guy is local.

Ang, I've dated guys with kids but I don't have any advice for you. Sorry. I don't have much interest in kids. I can and have taught them for limited amounts of time, have babysat a select few, but for the most part, I avoid them. I try to not date guys with kids because I don't feel that it is fair to them. I guess you just need to know yourself well enough to determine if you are ok with a little extra responsibility right up front.

I have always tried to avoid guys with kids, but I may be missing out on a great guy so I'm going to try it.

It's okay, Ang. As a single guy with 2 kids, I can say that we're TERRIFIC people. Doodle has a good point. Know your own limits/boundaries.

Absolutely! As a single parent myself, the last thing I would have wanted was to meet some man who liked me but not my son. I will do my part in letting you know up front that I have a child and may want more. You do your part in letting me know your feelings on children. No one should drag it out unnecessarily. Feelings get hurt that way.

I hear all the time that girls that are out of my league (the millions and millions) have a hard time getting asked out on dates. Now I'm not one to go up to them, but they say that's what they want. Why not try it? The worst thing is that he's not interested or doesn't call. So what? It's not like he's currently calling you. You know what I mean?

That would make it very weird at work. He's a contractor we're doing a construction loan for. Maybe I'll slip him my number when I'm doing an inspection or at the end of the job I'll give him my number.
