Not as good as I would have liked it to have been, but I did get to talk to him a little bit online and he sent me another picture.

I'm very tempted to ask him if he does want us to be us, and then bail if he doesnt. OR just go with the flow and see if he invites me back up there.....hmmm, what to do, what to do...

I don't see why you couldn't ask where ya stand in his life.. no need playing cat/mouse games if he is not willing to be committed..then you can move on...

It's hard to go with the flow when you don't know where it empties...I just started dating someone who is just out of a 2 yr. relationship...he's not sure what he wants, and I
know what I DON'T want...so time will tell. But I have trouble leaving things up to fate...

But with past experiences with him, I think it's best to go with the flow...

NancyC-
I have been divorced for 1 year, have 3 kids, and although I have only had a few "dates" this has been the best year of my life for me, personally. Have there been sad times? Yes. Lonley times? Yes. But the clouds do break, and the sun will shine again. The same is true for you.

Of course, it depends on how picky you are. I prefer to grill, but I'm a born and raised Northern guy. That means, I was raised on.......casseroles! Okay, so that's not the good stuff. I don't mind cooking, as long as there is someone to cook for and someone to help with the cleanup. Right now, I'm the only adult in the house, so I do all the cooking, most of the cleaning, and most of the dishes. With that in mind, Papa John's sounds VERY good to me.

Pup - I can relate to everything you say. I did the same thing after my divorce and before getting remarried. I never minded the dishes or cleaning - I just never took to cooking. (so I ate out a lot or just ate mac and cheese, cheese sandwiches, oranges, fritos, raviolios --- anything orange. For whatever reason, I always loved orange foods. It's either that or make one of three meals I can do well - Steak, Baked Potatoes and Asparagus; Crab meat pasta salad; or a great chicken salad (not the kind with mayonnaisey sauce).

But when it comes to clean up - I rock!

And I grew up on a lot of casseroles too - it was either caseroles or a huge round steak to feed 5. Meat, Potatoes and Veggies, at least 5 days a week.

Dave, that sounds good. When is dinner tonight?

Take 4 large chicken breasts (with skin - on the bone) and boil them until cooked; season as you like - When done, let them cool, remove and discard the skin and then peel the white meat off the bone in small bite sized chunks (lots of tearing). Addd those chunks into a big bowl with a head of crisp chunky lettuce. Add slivered almonds and cut up scallions. Mix all together along with the crunchy chow mein noodles. The dressing for it (and I don't have that with me) is a combination of olive oil, red wine vingera, sugar and a snmall amount of salt & pepper.

Search Me, I love your signature line. I am definitely a contender for winning that one. I am going to France in September and just ordered 3 pair of sandals..same shoe, different colors! Red is my favorite shoe color!
