I wish Paula would let Simon have an opinion of his own.
We have just started watching this in the last month weekly (watched in "now and then" before that) and I really agree with your last statement. I rarely hear Paula say anthing that actually gives the contestant useful feedback, nearly always she just gives ego boosts. Not that an ego boost is not good but I know I learn more from hearing what I need to do better than just an ego boost. Love that Carrie!!!

All I can say is "ridiculous". Why Anwar and Anthony were not in the bottom 3 is beyond me. I am happy that Scott made it, but I was hoping it was Bo to go.

I feel bad that Nadia was voted out. I really liked her and thought she was talented. When I saw it was between Nadia and Bo I was hoping Bo would go!
Maybe next week....I can only hope.

I am sad to see Nadia go but she has had some bad weeks. Scott needs to go. He is scary looking. Bo on the other hand I was very shocked about but he has such a great attitude about if he stays or goes. And that is good. It was a very shocking night and I am one of the people that do vote and I knew on Tuesday night that something was wrong because I was able to vote right away for everyone.

I agree that maybe she had poor song selctions, but c'mon - did you hear her Bottom 3 song? Only Vonzell and Carrie have as good or better a voice.

I totally agree, but none of these people can depend on one good song. They MUST pick good songs that wow the audience and the judges every week. She has picked many songs that made you go huh? and had some really bad vocal performances as well (Cindy Lauper?!?!)

Like that pointless intro the other day where he said that watching, but not voting is like a conversation with Randy...Pointless. His sarcastic remarks to the judges, especially Simon are not funny. He'd do well to just look handsome and introduce the contestants. His banter is horrible; he is not witty at all. Simon is witty, but too caustic. Ryan is just pathetic trying to be funny.

Michael - I agree that she has had some poor song choices, but I disagree about her vocals. I don't recall one "bad" perfomance where she was flat or "pitchy" as they like to say. I can only say that about one other finalist, Carrie. She has never sounded bad, and I actually thought that Jessica never sounded bad. All the others have had bad vocals - even "I make love to the camera" Constantine.
As a side note - Paula is out of her freaking mind. I just wish they would make her get up and sing so America can remember what a fraud she really is - outside of a studio with all the techno help, she is horrible.

There was a poll that I saw on Entertainment Weekly's website asking which of the 3 judges should be voted off. Paula had received the most votes with Randy coming in second, and Simon a distant third. As critical and mean as Simon seems to be, the fans seem to think he is the best of the bunch.

Paula can't get up she's on happy pills- lately she is laying it on a bit too thick - I don't like watching her much anymore- Simon I think is cool and tells it like it is.
Cubdave- are you saying you like Carrie? I guess I couldn't figure that out. I think she is beautiful- but she has to know the lyrics to the songs she sings- and sing them.
Constantine is hmmmmmmmmm sweet

Scott should have been the one to go. I don't understand how he has hung in so long. He's horrible. I agree that Nadia has had some bad nights, but not as bad as Scott. I don't get it. Not only is he hard on the ears, but he's hard on the eye's as well. Not that you need to be great looking to win, but he doesn't even have a stage presence.

I am just amazed that Anthony has made it this far. I think it should have been Anthony or Scott to go last night. I like Scott's voice, but he just doesn't have a lot of personality. I don't think Nadia has been doing well consistently. I guess I was not surprised that she was voted off. I did like her, but there are others that have shown more talent, IMO. I was soooo glad it wasn't Bo that was voted off. He is still one of my favorites. He just has to choose better songs to show off his voice. (And I soooo love guys with long hair).
