My husbands parents are divorced so we go to his dad's family thing and then his mom family thing. Both are at lunch time so we are eating a little at each place so that no ones feelings are hurt. We will be early for one and late for the other. Blended families sometimes blow as bad as dry turkey does.
Then, that evening my Mom and Dad are taking pity on us and we are having a big Mexican feast with them instead of turkey. My sister and two brothers and their families will all be there.

I'll be watching the Colts hopefully kick New England's butt tonight on it on Monday Night Football. Are you ready for some football?? Go Colts!!!
I'm w/ ya, Creditcop. The Red Sox and White Sox lifted their curses, and Texas finally beat Oklahoma, so maybe we can finally get the Patsy monkey off of our backs. Maybe this really is our year.
That said, I'm so ready for this game to be over, no matter what the outcome. I'm so sick of having to play the Patsies every year in Foxboro (or is it Foxborough??). I'm still wanting to heave over the lovefest for Tom Brady and The Metaphors last night on 60 Minutes.

Mexican sounds good. Don't care for Turkey nor do my husband and kid, so I never have it anymore. We have no family left so just the three of us, so I don't have to have a traditional meal and we have no family to visit that might cook traditional. Kind of feel bad that my kid has never had the big family like I did growing up. We'll probably have seafood. I bet those pilgrims had lobster!

My husband and I are staying home. Our families live far away, and I have to work on Friday. I won't be making a turkey, because last thanksgiving I made one, and my husband informed me that he really doesn't like turkey as we're eating. Thanks for sharing honey!

What's the spread?
I believe it's Colts by 4, which I HATE! I'd rather be the underdog.

That's a tough spread too. Of course you'd rather be the dog but i was thinking it would be around a field goal as a homedog. I honestly think the colts will win by a touch but i don't think i will wager more than 20 on it.
I've bought into the notion that the Patsies are in the Colts' head.

In my family it is pig fest for a week! My FIL is coming to visist from Alaska, but we will go eat hamburgers at Johnnys (burger joint that my FIL really misses). Then on Thursday morning we will go my Dad's parents house at the crack of dawn, eat at noon, roll on the floor from eating too much, decorate the Christmas tree, have dinner, roll on the floor again, and finally have my Dad's birthday party.
On Friday we go to my MIL's house where we feast (again) on fried turkey, roll on the floor, decorate the Christmas tree, leave for home, and fall in bed (after getting the kids in bed).
I LOVE IT

These things too shall pass. My boys are in the midst of getting out of everybody's heads.

let's see... sleep in then go and help dad fry the turkey. after we get the turkey done, we'll sit around the grandparents house waiting for other members of the family to arrive. We'll get tired of waiting, so everyone who is there will get to eat. Then we'll just sit around talking about how we ate to much. Pretty fun, all in all.

I think I'm the only person on the planet who has never had a fried turkey.
