The IRS page sent back to me by the Fed for verification differs from my own records by one number. Their "Total MSA/MDs in All Assessment Areas" is 4, and my records show 5. All other numbers match exactly.
The directions say "fax corrections to.." and then proceeds with "if discrepancies are known, a corrected file should be sent..." - but I'm not sure exactly what they want.
Do I just fax back my original copy of the IRS from my submission? The only reason I can find for the numbers to be off is that Wiz counted "NA-99999" as an MSA, which I don't think it should have. Should I assume (dangerous word - I know) that the Fed threw that one out and counted only the actual MSAs or do I fax in my original IRS and hope we can sort this out?
ARGH!?!?!?!
