I send funds to pay for those earmarks

No, unfortunately for the last few years NO ONE has been paying for them, they are just added to the deficit.

The number and amount of earmarks has gone through the roof in recent years and that has to stop. We need to reinstitute the "pay-as-you-go" budgeting that was successful in the 90's and which was allowed to lapse in 2002.

now, could you arrange to send in your money to pay for all the plans that you like?

could you provide a list of GOP earmarks that we are currently funding out of thin air, X? i mean, who needs tax when we can just create money? it's the best of both worlds!

I send funds to pay for those earmarks, but you need to pony up for all the new stuff if your fellow democraps take over. So, just send extra each week - like around $1K per week will do it for now, but more later.

Yup, Republicans would never pass an open-ended entitlement program whose costs inflated even before the final vote ---

oh wait, republicans passed the drug benefit program.

Well, never mind.

WOOHOO
I'll agree, all politicians are now contributing to the mess, so the only real answer is - me! Just give me the title of King, just for a year and with all the power - it would all be set right. Unfortunately, the little people are in charge - so sad.

You've got my vote, although Jokerman would probably say I was too uninformed to vote

If you are voting for X, yes, Straw, I would assume you are uninformed.

There is no way that Bush will give that title up voluntarily!

Thanks for confirming. Have you contacted the authorites to issue a report on your misisng sense of humor?

Do you know when it was last seen? That might help them find it faster.

Wouldn't Joker imply that he does funny things? What has Bush ever done that's made you laugh (other than butchering the English language)? Well, there was also the choking on the pretzel thing.....Maybe Joker is right.

You can count on the republicans stealing (or trying to steal) votes. Look at Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004. rove and his criminals will do ANYTHING to win.

Straw, I haven't lost my sense of humor - I am in as good a mood as anyone, actually. I guess sometimes my humor just doesn't come across in this medium. (Kind of like your intelligence.)

Now, this is funny. The only way Republicans could possible garner enough votes to win is by stealing. I hope Ms. Pelosi keeps saying that. Nothing like insulting half the voting public.

Florida - Gore asks for recounts only in heavily Democratic counties, yet Bush is the one "stealing". Ohio - can someone please explain what the beef is there, again? I mean, it is so nutty that I don't think anyone outside the crazy left even remembers what was alleged, do they?

I am sure you are in a fine mood; just doesn't mean you have much sense for a joke, which is ironic, given your screen name.

That's ok; just keep looking and you may find the joke someday.

You know SourPuss, I do try, oh, do I try, but your ignorance and consistent insults drive me crazy. I admit it.

You are so rude and then cry wolf when someone insults you expecting sympathy.

I will continue to try to ignore your lame and moronic posts, but I just can't continue a promise when I know you might drive me to respond.

Gee, more insults accusing me of making insults. You are the king. Marky, it's such a shame your word is worth nothing (typical Republican) since you have said on more than one occasion that you won't be responding to me. Perhaps you and Haggard could get together and discussing "walking the talk."

Since you don't seem to recall, this was the way Florida law provided for recounts to be handled - each candidate could choose whatever counties that they wanted to have recounted.

I went back and deleted my post.

I am flawed, no question about that.

But, I would rather be my flawed self than someone like you, and for that I thank God each and every day of my life.

Take care of yourself SP.

Oh, I love it - one of the Gore apologists quoting Florida election law to me! Since you don't seem to recall, Florida's election law didn't matter - just ask their Supreme Court!

I never said Gore was acting outside the law. But I do think asking for a recount only in specific counties, and then later hypocritically claiming to want to "count all the votes" doesn't wash with anyone outside the crazy left. Sorry.
