I saw a story on the news this morning that people started camping out yesterday at a Best Buy in FL awaiting the newest Play Station console to be released this Friday....3 days outside a best buy? Can you say get a job?

Your not kidding. They are probably the same people that stock Walmart the day after Thanksgiving for the extra $5 off a mixer.

And these people are paying $500 and selling for $5,000 on Ebay. Maybe not such a bad move?

I want a TMX Elmo. Can only find them on EBay for 2x retail though.

They opened a new Chik-Fil-A here (FL) and gave away a year's worth of sandwiches (I am guessing maybe one a day or something) to the first 100 customers, and the entire parking lot was full of people camping out a day or two before it opened.

Truly, these people need to get a life as well.

My sister is the ultimate Star Wars fan. A couple years ago, she kept my 2 nephews out of school so they could go see the premiere of one of the newer Star Wars movies (I forget which one)...I told her she was out of her mind....I guess waiting a few more hours to see a later show wasn't an option.....

OKAY..this is where I draw the line. There is NOTHING wrong with camping out over night for a Midnight STAR WARS premiere!! LOL

No really..My twin sons who where 13 at the time really wanted to miss school so they could stand in line all day with my Husband (okay a whole other uber geek story in itself). I absolutly said no way, school is more important. Then the little kinivers asked me "If each one of my teachers says its okay can we"..I said Sure, like that was going to happen...well the little Einsteins made up a written document, explaining what they wanted to do and why, that each teacher had to sign on the bottom saying it was alright for them to miss school to stand in line. Guess what? All the teachers thought it was so well thought out and organized, not to mention hilarious..They all signed it!!! So they got to join step dad (who had been in line since the night before) in line and had the time of their lives.

Now lets talk about those nuts that stand in line for Harry Potter..what is up with that?

What I don't understand is how the people camping out can afford $500 if they are taking time off work to but a game console.

It was on the local news in Richmond, VA today that they are doing the same thing here. Kids are bringing their homework with them so they can not get too far behind in their studies!! Where are their parents???

In defense of my Husband, he is so utterly weird, which just makes me love him so much. Things I would have never even thought of to do, I do because of him. And we have a blast. Before I met him *I* used to make fun of the "STar Wars geeks". Now I am one of them!!!!

Yes we camp Out for Star Wars.

Yes we attend Comic-con.

Yes we are going to the Star Wars convention in LA this Summer.

Wish my parents would have told me to take a few days off school and oh here's $500 bucks to spend on whatever you want!

Shoot, my buddy showed me pics of people camping out since last Friday/Saturday. I don't get it... It's not like there's never going to be another PS3 once those run out. But if their plan is to sell it on ebay and a very considerable profit, well, it may be worth it...

I like my PC games...I love Syberia, I just hate that I dont have time to play it..I have been playing it for 5 years and have yet to get to the end of the game to move onto Syberia 2

I was wondering the same thing this morning when I heard it on the news. We can't even get people to volunteer to stand for two hours ringing bells for the Salvation Army. Not only get a life, but get your priorities straight.
