If you cannot be at the live draft, you would rank your players so the computer can pick them in a certain order. For example, say you want Albert Pujols with your 1st pick, you would rank him number 1. If he is still there when you pick, the computer would pick him for you. If you are going to be at the draft, I wouldnt worry about ranking payers.

always rank your players even if you are attending the draft. that way you assure yourself of getting your best/favorite option, otherwise you can make a mistake while scrambling for a pick as their should be time limits between picks. Also, yahoo should have them already in order based on last year's numbers so you may just have to tweak their list a little for your own tastes.

Xodus is right. I normally dont rank my players, as I always attend a live draft. I love them. However,I have been burned a few times by losing my internet connection.

Indeed. To be honest, I have yet to see the mods go over board. Things seem ok to me. But then again, I am not on the cooler as much as I use too, so I could be wrong.

I will have to miss the draft. Darn in-laws are coming to visit this weekend. Ranking my players should leave me in an ok status though, right? How many players do we draft? Should I rank more than that number?
