School House Rock rocks!
Do you remember He-Man, Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, and Care Bears? All that is coming back now and both my daughter and I wear the t-shirts.

Very Gen X here. Not only remember the Capital Hill Bill, but also "Conjunction junction, what's your function?" I was in elementary school when the Pope and Reagan were shot. I am wearing a "Miami Vice" ensemble in the year book from my senior year in high school.

If there's going to be a list, you can't forget my personal favorites which I will only identify by these closing "tag lines" for those as old as I am to appreciate ... "A hardy Hi O Silver, away!" and "King, this case is closed!"

How about Saturday morning with Aquaman, Space Ghost, the mighty Isis and Shazaam.

And of course, weekday afternoon with Dark Shadows.

Miami Vice was the best. I had the outfits too. The white jacket with a peach shirt and whith pants. I wanted the scruffy face too but I was too young to grow it like that. "Chips" was a good show. Do you remember "Elf" They must have taken years of dust off him to bring him back for commercials. And before "ER" was "Doogie Houser, MD" Everyone tells me I look almost exactly like Neil Patrick Harris. Especially now. I don't know if that is a compliment or not?

How about the original mini-series (plural?) that were shown at the movies before the main attraction- The Claw - The Shadow - those are the only two that comes to mind at this time (I know there was a western one but I can't remember it right now and I also think there may have been a Batman series).

Geez! That was way AFTER my time (childhood years). In fact, those became popular when my daughter was little. She's now 20.

Alright, let's take this thread back from the kiddies. Back in the day (as my 20-year old daughter calls it whenever I reminisce), one of my favorite TV shows was Love, American Style. Trivia time - anyone remember the hit TV show that was piloted as a Love, American Style segment?

Nice to see some other Gen Xers! I remember all those cartoons and when I was older and my brother was younger The Muppet Babies!! My mom always said that my favorite thing was eating Mac & Cheese and watching Mr. Rogers.

Happy Days.

BTW - the segment on Love American Style was a lot more "50's" than the eventual series turned out.

Yes I think I remember it. I remember it being re-hashes of old cartoons clipped together in a variety show format. Or perhaps I'm thinking of the Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck hour?

I still think that Hoppity Hooper was a very overlooked cartoon.

I remember this show and I think you may be referring to "The Love Boat", but I'm not certain.
