I read My Friend Flicka when I was nine. Loved it. My kids (7,3) also have a Beanie and Cecil video tape. They don't watch it much but know what it is. They prefer Sailor Moon, Yu Gi Oh!, and Hamtaro. Cool cartoons.

I don't get many of these shows either. But as an Army brat I did a lot of my growing up in Japan without American TV and with radio reruns like Amos and Andy, The Great Gildersleeves and The Shadow. Prior to Japan, I do remember Sea Hunt and Superman. Though as a kid I never questioned the bullets bouncing off his chest and why he ducked when they threw the pistol at him.

I think the earliest I remember is Bozo the clown and Romper Room. I did used to have some homemade Romper Stompers!

Any of you Saturday morning cartoon buffs remember "Colonel Bleep?" Do you remember the names of his two friends?
(and no, the "bleep" is not a deletion of anything: that was his name; it was a more innocent time)
