If a bank goes through a vendor (i.e. XYZ Co.) to get credit report info from the 3 main Credit Reporting Agencies, and the Bank notes the name, address and phone number of each consumer reporting agency on the adverse action notice, should the name, address and phone number of XYZ Co. be shown also? I wouldn't think so since XYZ Co. is not a CRA.

If XYZ Co. is providing you with the credit reports, how are they not a credit reporting agency??? Just curious.

Credit reporting agency as defined by the FCRA is:

"The term “consumer reporting agency” means any person which, for monetary fees, dues, or on a cooperative nonprofit basis, regularly engages in whole or in part in the practice of assembling or evaluating consumer credit information or other information on consumers for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports to third parties, and which uses any means or facility of interstate commerce for the purpose of preparing or furnishing consumer reports."

Are they not assembling the 3 main CRA reports and furnishing you the report???
