A co-worker directed me to BOL. I am new to the banking field, so, while looking for resources a co-worker gave me the site. I have gained a huge amount of information from everyone here on Banker Threads, plus, other areas of this site. I have only recently registered, beforehand, I simply read different posts to educate myself as much as I could. Everyone here on BOL has been a tremendous help. The years of knowledge that are shared here help newbies such as myself, realize how little we actually know.

I'm in No. California, I received a telephone call from a banker in Tennessee who stated I was referred to them from another bank. Wow! I asked how my name was referred, they stated they were on BOL and another user somewhere here in CA gave my name to call. During the conversation I looked up BOL and have been hooked ever since.

I've been with you since whatever the name was before it became BankersOnline. I think I was at a compliance seminar with you in OKC, but some days it's hard to remember what was happening in 1998 when we were still dealing with Y2K. I think I'd take back Y2K if Congress would take back CIP.

I think I was out searching on MSN before I started my position as the Compliance Specialist. I put a plug in for Bankers Online at every conference/seminar that I attend, a lot of people have not heard about it. I have passed out my business card to some people with BOL's address on the back! Not sure if they have checked out BOL, but if they knew what was good for them they would!

Prior to that, I had been accessing a website the name of which I cannot recall, but it was associated with Thompson. I believe either or both Mary Beth and Lucy Griffin were on that website, so I was overjoyed to find out they had started a new sight!

I saw an article or comment by Mary Beth on the Banking Channel. It had a link to Bankers On Line.

I was advised by someone I work with to sign up for your daily compliance briefings. I didn't start participating in the forum until some time later. In any case, BOL has been very helpful (and up-to-date).

Google or yahoo search. It was the best thing I ever did!
