Regulatory amendments and Counter-narcotics identification

OFAC has posted a Notice it is publishing a final rule to update terminology and references across several sanctions programs’ regulations, and is adding a general license to the Burma Sanctions Regulations to authorize the provision of agricultural commodities, medicine, medical devices, replacement parts and components for medical devices, or software updates for medical devices to individuals whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to the Burma Sanctions Regulations.

[Update: The rule, which amends 31 CFR parts 525, 546, and 589, was published at 89 FR 67556 in the August 21, 2024, Federal Register, and was effective on publication.]

In addition, OFAC's notice announced an addition to its Non-SDN Menu-Based Sanctions List:
