Cuba sanctions violation settled for $614K

OFAC has released information on an agreement by a French company (CGG Services, S.A.) and its American affiliate (SGG Services U.S.) Inc.) to pay $614,250 to settle potential civil liability for alleged violations of the Cuban Assets Control Regulations. The companies appear to have violated the Regulations when they exported spare parts and other equipment related to oil exploration from the United States to a vessel operating in Cuba’s territorial waters.
