In-house accounting staff are responsible for the bank's general ledger. They also prepare and maintain a variety of reports pertaining to the bank's lending and deposit activities. Reports may be for internal consumption or for the bank's regulators. They also oversee the timely payment and recordkeeping of bank expenses and support financial decision-making.
