Our Security Officer has everyone write down what they know about an incident when money is missing. I worked in the department where it was missing, I wasn’t involved why should I have to writeup an incident report?

Answer:

A good investigator will ask everyone to write down what happened. This information provides the reviewer a method to learn how much information a person may know about the incident. It will save time when interviewing everyone involved.
