Board Training Program

Question:

I am putting together a board training program. What is required from a regulatory standpoint?

Answer:

I'm not aware of any training requirements that specifically mention directors. The FDIC's Pocket Guide for Directors lists the policies directors should establish and the aspects of implementation they should monitor. If I were an outside director, I would expect the bank's training program to focus on those things.
