BSA Brochure For Consumers

Question:
Recently, a branch person asked me for a brochure that supposedly has been published by a government agency, which can be handed out to a customer explaining the Bank Secrecy Act and why we must collect information necessary to complete a large currency report. Do you know of such a publication? I have searched numerous government sites and haven't, as of this date, been able to locate such a brochure.

You are looking for "Facts You Should Know," a pamphlet originally published by the ABA and now marketed by the National Association for Bank Security in Fort Lauderdale, 1-800-390.6227.

They have a marketing deal with 24 state bankers associations. Ask if your assocition is one of their distributors - you might be able to purchase it more cheaply.
