CD loans and LMI tracts for CRA consideration

Question:
Must a Community Development loan be in a low- or moderate-income tract?
Answer:

There are four different types of Community Development loans, Affordable Housing, Community Services, Economic Development, and Revitalization/stabilization of LMI tracts or distressed or underserved middle-income nonmetropolitan tracts. Only the last definition stipulates the CD activity must be in an LMI tract or distressed or underserved tract.
