Absolutely, NEVER do it. You are not required to use an SSN on UCC documents -- you are simply given the option to do so. In other contexts, where the law requires the use of an SSN, you have no choice and must use it. But where it is optional, exercise the option to leave it out. The SS number is private customer information which can greatly assist in an identity theft. There is no good reason to use the SS on any public document except where its use is mandatory.
