We have been observing developing problems in this area because companies are realigning their business models. Former employees of some of the larger vendors are starting up new security companies. They know how to install security equipment, but they may not know security procedures or the reasons for security procedures. One vendor recommended to a client of ours the use of dummy cameras in the parking lot, to save money. Court cases have found that this provides a false sense of security and, if someone is harmed, the financial institution will pay for it. Be very careful of security vendor recommendations, be sure their recommendations sound right to you.
