Internal raffles matter

Can we do an internal raffle (selling tickets for a chance to win a prize) to benefit a non-profit organization?

Answer:

No. The type of organization that benefits does not matter. Nor does it matter that the raffle (defined as a lottery here) is for only employees or customers, or the general public. It is the lottery activity that is prohibited.
