I recently accepted a new position at my bank in the lending department. I came from operations and wanted a change, but now my head is spinning! There are so many rules on the lending side, and I am struggling. How can I get on top of it all?

Answer:

Way to go in broadening your horizons! Kudos for stepping out of your comfort zone and taking on a new challenge. Bank lending does indeed have many regulatory requirements, but they exist for good reason. It sounds like you would benefit from a solid overview of what all those rules are and how they fit together. Once you see the big picture, you’ll have a better understanding of how your role plays a part in protecting both consumers and the bank.
