Question:
Is an LLC with a "sole member" eligible for an interest earning NOW account?
Answer:

In a word, No.

IRS rules may permit this LLC to use its sole member's SSN for its bank accounts (special instructions on Form W9), but a sole member LLC is not a sole proprietor any more than a sole owner professional corporation is.
