Most common wire transfer fraud tactics

Question:
What is the most common type of wire transfer fraud?
Answer:

That depends on the industry. For businesses, business email compromise is the most common. According to the FBI, a victim business loses an average of $130,000 per occurrence of this form of fraud.
For banks, the most common is either business email compromise of the business customer CEO/CFO to send an email wire transfer request to the bank, or hacking into your network to control your wire transfer platform and send unauthorized wires.
Both businesses and banks continue to suffer significant losses from false invoices and supply chain fraud as well. Insufficient internal confirmation controls are often to blame.
For consumer accounts, the most common method is still account takeover.
