That depends on what is being disputed. For example, Regulation E's consumer protections don't apply to non-consumer accounts, but Visa and MasterCard's Zero Liability provisions (or some part of them) apply to certain unauthorized transactions in business accounts. Under Regulation Z, consumer rights to make billing error claims on credit card account do not apply to business credit card accounts.
When non-consumer accounts are not afforded the same regulatory protections as consumer accounts, they may have rights under the contract governing the account. In addition, there may be state laws or regulations affording protections to non-consumer accountholders.
