Notifying customers of summonses and subpoenas

Question:
Are we required to give the customer a letter stating they have the right to quash the motion on summonses and subpoenas with the exception of Grand Jury?
Answer:

In general, that’s a question of state law, and you will need to redirect your question to local legal counsel. In many cases, however, the legal document served on your bank will contain detailed instructions concerning notifying your customer. Some may even include a notice to be forwarded to the target of the summons or subpoena.
