Required Branch Signage

Question:
I am looking for an updated list of required signage (CRA Public Notice, Equal Housing, HMDA, etc.) to display at a new branch. Is there a vendor that offers most of these posters in an all in one display?

Answer by Andy Zavoina:

While some signage vendors will sell the standard disclosure forms, they won't have requirements specific to your bank that may have required customization (name, title, telephone number of a contact), sales tax license, seller of check notices (TX, has this), etc.

For this reason I recommend developing a relationship with a framer in your area and create your own. Then they can develop a master and you can easily call and order one whenever it is needed and even have it shipped directly to that branch needing it.

This may not be the opinion of my employer and should not be relied upon as legal advice.

Also, to make sure you've posted the correct notices in the correct places, Barbara McGuire, who is in the process of joining us as a new guru, contributed a tool to Banker Tools that you may want to click over to. It is a Lobby Notice Requirements Chart. It will help you determine what has to be posted and where. You will find it in Banker Tools, under the Compliance Aids category. Barb notes that you should also be mindful of the fact that you may have state law posting requirements as well.
