What policies are really required? We don’t think we should have more than are really required by the regs.

Answer:

Few are required by law or regulation, but when you understand that the purpose of policy isn’t to meet a regulatory requirement, you’ll understand why both your examiners and you should expect to have many more than just those specifically required.
