Requirements for Night Lighting on Vaults/Safes

Answer by Andy Zavoina: Actually there are requirements in Reg H, if you want to call them "requirements."

Each member bank shall have, at a minimum, the following security devices:

(ii) A lighting system for illuminating, during the hours of darkness, the area around the vault, if the vault is visible from outside the banking office;

So it has to be lighted, but there is no specificity as to candle power, etc. at the federal level.
