If an ACH debit is presented and overdraws an account, that account shows the next morning on a list of overdrawn accounts. Can the ACH be reversed at that time?

Answer:

In most cases, yes. Unless you had already held the ACH transaction for a day before posting it, it would still be acceptable to return it on the day following settlement.
