Answer:

In general, no. However, when an elderly customer is exploited, it is not unusual for the victim to be assailed by more than one scammer or thief. It can be helpful to report, for example, "no suspect" events involving less than $25,000 and share the SAR with state or local law enforcement early on, to possibly limit the extent to which the elder is exploited.
